How do I find a bout for my boxer?
Finding a bout is simple: log in to your BoutMatrix account, select the boxer you want to match, and use our "Find a Bout" feature. The system will search for suitable opponents based on your boxer's weight, age, experience, and other criteria. You can review potential matches, see match quality scores, and contact other clubs directly through the platform.

How do I register my boxing club on BoutMatrix?
Registration is quick and free. You create your login and club in one go, then finish onboarding to complete your club profile.
Sign up and create your club
Open Register — use Get Started / Register in the site header, or go to /auth/v2/register.
Enter your club name, email, and password. The form shows password rules (length, upper and lower case, number, and special character). Wait until club name and email show as available if checks appear.
Submit to create your account. If you are asked to confirm your email, use the link in the message before signing in.
Sign in and work through the onboarding wizard (club details, contacts, and so on). After that you can add boxers and use matchmaking.
Is BoutMatrix only for UK boxing clubs?
BoutMatrix is primarily designed for UK amateur boxing clubs and follows UK safety guidelines and regulations. While clubs from other regions can register, the matchmaking algorithms and safety compliance features are optimized for the UK amateur boxing system.
How does BoutCheck work?
BoutCheck is our safety verification tool that helps you ensure a proposed bout meets all safety guidelines. Simply enter the details of both boxers, and BoutCheck will verify weight differences, age categories, experience levels, and other safety criteria to confirm the bout is appropriate and compliant.
Can I search for boxers from other clubs?
Yes, BoutMatrix provides access to a comprehensive directory of boxers from registered UK boxing clubs. You can search by weight, age, experience, location, and other criteria to find suitable opponents. Cross-club views are minimised for privacy: other clubs see matchmaking-safe fields (age/category, weight, record, Medical In Date/Not In Date, Review Up to date/Review required) — not exact medical expiry dates, EB numbers, or full dates of birth on profile surfaces. Your own club always keeps full internal records.
What can other clubs see about my boxers?
Other authenticated clubs only see what they need to arrange fair, safe bouts. That typically includes display name or initials (when name privacy is enabled), club, age or age category, weight, gender, nationality, bout record, availability, and coarse medical/review status. Exact medical certificate dates, England Boxing registration numbers, full dates of birth on browse/profile surfaces, exact review timestamps, and parent/guardian safeguarding contacts stay with your club and platform administrators. How does BoutMatrix stand on safeguarding?
Safeguarding shapes who can be matched and what other clubs can see. Under-18 boxers need parent/guardian consent on file before they appear in Find a Bout, Auto Match, or opponent pools. Guardian contacts are never shared with other clubs. Clubs can hide junior names so other clubs see initials only. Cross-club profiles show Medical In Date / Not In Date and review status — not exact medical dates or EB numbers — while eligibility still enforces real medical and age rules server-side. How do I contact other clubs about potential matches?
BoutMatrix includes built-in communication tools. When you find a potential match, you can view the club's contact information, send messages through the platform, or use WhatsApp integration for direct communication. Contact details are displayed for each club in the directory.
What information do I need to add my boxers?
To add boxers to BoutMatrix, you'll need basic information including name, date of birth, weight, gender, and bout history. You can add boxers individually or import multiple boxers using our CSV upload feature. Medical expiry dates and other details can be added to ensure complete records.
How does the automatic matchmaking feature work?
Our Auto Match feature analyzes your selected boxer and automatically finds the best potential opponents from across the platform. It considers weight compatibility, age categories, experience levels, and location to rank matches by quality. You can review all suggestions and select the best match for your boxer.
Can I export my club data from BoutMatrix?
Yes, BoutMatrix allows you to export your boxer data in CSV format for backup or use in other systems. You can also generate PDF reports of your boxers, matches, and club information. All data export features are available in your club dashboard.
How do I update my boxer information?
You can update boxer information at any time through the Boxer Management section in your dashboard. Simply select the boxer, edit their details (weight, age, bout history, etc.), and save. Updated information is immediately reflected in matchmaking searches.
Does BoutMatrix help with sparring organization?
Yes, BoutMatrix includes a Sparring Organizer feature that helps you plan and manage sparring sessions. You can match boxers for sparring, track sparring history, and coordinate with other clubs. This feature helps ensure productive training sessions with appropriate sparring partners.

How do I use BoutMatrix on my phone like an app?
BoutMatrix is a website that works like an app in the browser. Add it to your home screen so it opens full screen without the browser bar getting in the way, and you stay logged in like a normal app.
